The Lead

If you ask Jerry Jeudy, his overall rating in Madden NFL 21 should obviously be 100.

He gets points for confidence, but unfortunately for him, he doesn't get to decide his rating. He learned that the hard way recently, as "legendary ratings adjustor" Chad Johnson called him to tell him how he graded out as a rookie in the upcoming video-game release.

In a broader overview of rookie wide receiver ratings, Jeudy earned high marks in the categories of speed (91), acceleration (93), change of direction (90) and juke move (91) as he graded out with a 75-overall rating.

When Jeudy was told his overall rating, he simply got up and walked off camera.

His teammate KJ Hamler had some high ratings of his own, too, in speed (94), acceleration (95), agility (93) and change of direction (90). His overall rating came in just a little under Jeudy's at 70.

Stay tuned for more Madden ratings coming up soon; ESPN is airing Ratings Reveal Week from July 13-17 in partnership with the game, culminating with a SportsCenter special on the final day that includes a breakdown of the ratings process and interviews with players.

9NEWS' Mike Klis selected five players on the Broncos’ roster who he thinks will have the biggest impact on the team's 2020 season. Drew Lock, naturally, was his top pick: "Lock's development has a chance to accelerate. The Broncos' 2020 season is counting on it."

The Broncos' battles with the Patriots in the 2010s were hard to beat, weren't they? CBS Sports' Bryan DeArdo ranked that rivalry as the best of the last decade, beating out the likes of Seahawks-49ers and Ravens-Steelers. "The Broncos' 20-18 victory went down as arguably the decade's greatest conference title game," DeArdo wrote.
