The Lead

Editor's note: These games will air at the times below on CBS Sports Network, not on the main CBS broadcast station. They will also be available to stream live during the re-airing on CBS All Access, the network's subscription service. We apologize for the confusion.

The series starts with the peak of Tebow-mania, the walk-off win over the Steelers in a 2011 wild-card matchup, which will air at 8 p.m. MT on Saturday, April 18. After giving up a 20-6 lead, the Broncos limped into overtime with the hope that there was a little magic left in Tebow's arm or legs after he had helped lead them to seven wins in eight weeks to get them to the playoffs. All it took was one play, as Tebow connected with Demaryius Thomas on a crossing route for an 80-yard touchdown to win the game.

The next two games are the final two from the Broncos' run to Super Bowl 50 greatness. The 2015 AFC Championship Game will be broadcast on Sunday, April 19 at 8 p.m. MT and is well remembered for a number of reasons. In Peyton Manning's final home game, he provided the early lead for the Broncos with two touchdowns to Owen Daniels in the first half. The game was also one of the defining games by the Broncos' defense. Von Miller picked off Brady and added 2.5 sacks. DeMarcus Ware also had seven quarterback hits, each of which came in handy as the defense tried to fend off a furious comeback attempt by Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

Then there's Super Bowl 50, which airs April 21 at 8 p.m. MT. Whether you want to watch the pinnacle of Von Miller's career (thus far!), Peyton Manning cap his career by hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, one of the finest performances by a historic defense or John Elway proclaim 'This one's for Pat,' any Broncos fan will be happy to tune in again on Tuesday.

Below the Fold

Steve Atwater is almost done with this Hall of Fame speech, he tells The Denver Post’s Sean Keeler, but there's still a big question lingering over this summer's induction weekend: Will the novel coronavirus make an impact on the schedule? So far, it's put a delay on Atwater's trip to Utah for the final touches to his bronze bust.

Mel Kiper's newest mock draft has been unveiled, and it includes a pretty significant surprise for the Broncos, who he predicts will draft WR Justin Jefferson at 15th-overall — even with Henry Ruggs III still on the board. Then, in Round 2, he projects a cornerback for the Broncos.

Woody Paige of The Gazette makes the case that the Broncos should trade up to No. 8 to avoid a situation where none of the top three receivers are available by the time the 15th-overall pick hits the clock.

9NEWS’ Mike Klis went on a deep dive for some insight into how President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway has found success through the draft. The conclusion: Patience pays off.
