"This is a big-time game," Surtain said. "Obviously, a divisional opponent. Win this game, and we're first in the division. That's a big mark that we want to hit, especially early on in the season. It's always good to win those divisional games early on to set you forward for the rest of the season."

"We have an opportunity to be able to make a statement Sunday," Sutton said. "It's upon us to be able to take advantage."

The Broncos will release an additional set of practice statuses on Thursday and announce their game statuses for Week 3 on Friday.

"He's working really hard, he's practicing really hard and [he] showed up in the game," quarterback Bo Nix said.

"Guys handled it the right way today," Zach Allen said. "We're on to the Chargers now. We saw the mistakes and corrected them, and hopefully we don't make them again."

"There will be a bitter taste in our mouth for a little bit," Head Coach Sean Payton said, "and it's because we put ourselves in a position to control that game late."

The Denver Broncos are facing off against the Colts in their first 2025 road game. 

Tight end Nate Adkins and linebacker Dre Greenlaw are both inactive after previously being ruled out with injuries.
