ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have signed veteran running back Theo Riddick, the team announced Sunday.

Denver placed DL Billy Winn (triceps) on injured reserve in a corresponding roster move. Winn suffered his injury during Thursday's preseason opener.

Riddick, a seventh-year veteran, played 84 games for the Lions over the past six seasons. He tallied 1,023 yards and five touchdowns on 288 career carries. He's made more of an impact in the passing game, where he has caught 285 passes for 2,238 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is the only running back in the NFL to record 50 catches in each of the last four seasons.

The 5-foot-9, 201-pound player has averaged 7.9 yards per reception in his career.

Riddick caught 61 passes for 384 yards in 2018 and averaged 6.3 yards per catch.
