Ty Murphy enters his fourth season with the Denver Broncos and third as a pro scout in 2026. He joined the Broncos originally in July 2023 as a scouting intern.
In his current role, Murphy assists in day-to-day football operations, including evaluating talent from various teams within the NFL and also assists with weekly advances during the regular season.
Prior to Denver, Murphy spent the spring of 2023 as the Director of Player Personnel at North Texas after serving as a defensive high school scout at Washington State during the 2022 season. He also spent one season in Morgantown, W. Va., where he was the football recruiting graduate assistant at West Virginia University.
Murphy also spent the 2020 season at his alma mater, Utah Tech University, as a defensive quality control coach. He played one year at Utah Tech (2019) as a defensive back after spending two years at Snow College (2017-18).
A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., Murphy graduated from Utah Tech in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
