Cody Rager enters his third year with the Denver Broncos and 15th season in the NFL in 2026 after being hired by the club as vice president of player personnel on Jan. 29, 2024.
Rager joined the Broncos after spending nine seasons with New Orleans. He previously served as the Saints' Assistant College Scouting Director from 2021-23 after working as a National Scout (2018-20) and an Area Scout (2015-17) for the club.
Prior to joining New Orleans, Rager spent the spring of 2015 as the Director of Recruiting at the University of Tennessee after completing the 2014 season in the same role with Indiana University.
Rager broke into the NFL with Miami in 2012, where he initially served as a Scouting Assistant. In 2013, he was promoted by the club to Area Scout, covering the western portion of the country.
Rager began his career as a Player Personnel Assistant for his Alma Mater, the University of Alabama, from 2010-12. In that role, he provided evaluations and highlights for all Crimson Tide prospects.
A native of Morris, Ala., Rager received his bachelor's degree in finance and economics (2010) and his master's degree in sport management (2012) from Alabama.
