Woodyard's World: Week 6

It's been real tough not being out there at practice this week. If I don't suit up for Sunday's game, I can't do what I love to do and that's playing football.

If I can't play, I'll be out there just like I was playing – not suited up, but excited about being out there.

But I'm excited to get a chance to help coach my teammates up and help them to do the right thing out there on the field. I am excited about that.

It's a 'next man up' mentality like Coach Fox has preached. I'm excited to see the guys step up and make plays. I know that if I can't play Paris Lenon will be ready.

Paris has been a good player in this league for a while. He knows the plays before they even happen. He brings that physicality to the game of football. As a Mike linebacker, he's going to come down and make plays. He's a guy that has been waiting to get out on the field.

I've been preparing like I would play all week just to make sure I know what's going on out there so come Sunday I'll be able to help out.

I absolutely plan on being back at full strength as soon as possible.
