The Squeeze: Cornerback rankings, skiing and baseball

Good morning, #BroncosCountry,

Happy Thursday! Only one more day until the start of the Broncos training camp. Are you coming? Before you start packing up all the essentials in preparation for tomorrow — here are three things you should get caught up on.* *

*1. Harris and Talib atop cornerback rankings *

Cornerbacks Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib continue to rake in the accolades this offseason, making their snub from the NFL Top 100 that much more eyebrow raising.

Sporting News released their top 10 NFL cornerbacks where Harris checked in at No. 3 and Talib at No. 5.

"The former undrafted corner's versatility is unrivaled in today's NFL," Sporting News writes about Harris, "and despite being asked to cover all areas, including a ton in the slot, Harris gave up zero touchdowns in 2014. Quarterbacks averaged a 47.8 rating when throwing into Harris' coverage — second best in the league behind Vontae Davis — according to PFF, who placed the 26-year-old No. 4 on its Top 101 players last year."

Sporting News also had plenty to say about Talib: "Given his size, [Talib] was asked to cover bigger receivers while Harris was often matched up with smaller threats. Talib, who picked off four passes and missed just one tackle last season, remains one of the league's tougher guys on which to complete a pass."

2. Random Broncos Facts

CBS Denver's Mark Haas made some discoveries about Broncos players in this year's media guide. After combing through bios, Haas posted his findings including facts about tight end James Casey (played professional baseball in the Chicago White Sox organization) and tackle Ty Sambrailo (avid skier and USSA title-holder).
