Tackle STEM Colorado All-Stars Hackathon

Brought to you by SendGrid and Full Contact

Location: Broncos Stadium @ Mile High (West United Club Level)
Dates: November 18-20, 2016

SendGrid and FullContact, two Colorado software leaders and technology success stories, are coming together with the Denver Broncos to bring Denver its first Tackle STEM Colorado All-Stars Hackathon! Bringing together students from all Colorado universities and code schools to participate in 3 days of innovation, code, and fun. Participants will form teams and will spend 36 hours building a project. Each team will demonstrate what they've built and a panel of special guest judges will evaluate the projects.

The Colorado All-Stars Hackathon offers participants an opportunity to interact with professionals from the industry and gain insightful knowledge about their chosen stream of study. The Hackathon challenges aspiring students and technology enthusiasts to explore feasible ideas, develop their team skills, and strengthen their network. The prizes are pretty great too!

Prizes Include: United Airlines tickets, Broncos Gameday Tunnel Experiences and tickets, pregame field passes, signed helmets and jerseys, Sphero BB-8 droids, Amazon Echoes, and much more!

We are honored that Russell Okung, offensive tackle for the Denver Broncos, is joining us on Sunday, November 20th as a special guest judge. In addition to his football accomplishments, Russell is a startup investor and takes an active role in promoting tech and STEM education through his regular "Tech Tuesdays with Russell" series.

Also joining us will be special guests Mike Jeffries and Julie Simancek, part of the Chaos Corps, and their 250lb combat robot Bombshell. Bombshell is the result of the collaboration of a large team of makers and hackers based out of Atlanta, GA and represented SendGrid during Season 2 of BattleBots. You'll have a chance to meet these experienced hackers and learn about their fighting bots.

We've also invited some great Guest Technology Providers that will be assisting participants with mentorship and expertise as well as software services and hardware access. MapQuest, SparkFun, Auth0, StopLight, GitHub, Sphero, and Amazon Alexa will all be making sure that hackers are well taken care of throughout the 36 hours of hacking.
