ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --Four days after suffering a lower-leg contusion, left tackle Garett Bolles returned to practice as the Broncos continued getting ready for Sunday's game against the Bills.

"He's not there yet, so we're not sure if he's going to play on Sunday, but he's getting better fast," Head Coach Vance Joseph said.

Bolles, who left the field via a cart in the third quarter of the 42-17 win over the Cowboys, was not hurt as badly as initially feared. Joseph said Monday that the rookie left tackle was "week to week" because of the injury.

Joseph added that Bolles took "a couple of reps" during the team portion of practice Thursday.

"I didn't know fast I was going to go, how fast my leg was going to heal, but it felt good today," Bolles said after practice.

"I'm not planning on pushing it [to get] where I need it to be," he added a moment later. "I'm going to be ready, either this week or next week."

Cornerback Bradley Roby also returned to practice Thursday. He sat out Wednesday's work because of an ankle injury, but Joseph said after that session that he was not concerned about Roby's status for the Bills game.

"Bradley looked OK," Joseph said. "Again, with ankle injuries, they're going to be sore, but he fought through practice today, which I was proud of him for doing, and hopefully he gets better day by day."

The only three Broncos who did not practice Thursday were wide receiver Bennie Fowler III (concussion), cornerback Brendan Langley (sprained knee) and quarterback Paxton Lynch (sprained right shoulder).

Running back Devontae Booker was not listed on the injury report, but Joseph said he was unsure whether the second-year back would make his 2017 debut Sunday. Booker has been eased back up to speed since recovering from a fractured wrist that he suffered late in OTAs.
