Broncos place Trevathan on IR, waive Jones

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.— The Denver Broncos on Tuesday placed linebackerDanny Trevathan on injured reserve and waived tight endDominique Jones** , it was announced.

Trevathan, Denver's leading tackler from a year ago, totaled 11 defensive stops (9 solo) in three games (1 start) for the Broncos this season. He spent eight weeks on the club's injured reserve (designated for return) list before playing his final game on Sunday at San Diego.

Jones appeared in his first contest with the Broncos on Sunday against the Chargers after competing on the club's practice squad for 13 weeks.
