Broncos host sixth annual Kickoff Luncheon, presented by U.S. Bank and Arrow Electronics

The Denver Broncos hosted the sixth annual Kickoff Luncheon, presented by U.S. Bank and Arrow Electronics, on Aug. 30 in the Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse at UCHealth Training Center. Broncos President and CEO Joe Ellis, President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway, Head Coach Vance Joseph, Offensive Coordinator Mike McCoy, Defensive Coordinator Joe Woods, Special Teams Coordinator Brock Olivo and the entire Broncos roster were in attendance to support the annual fundraising event, which benefits Denver Broncos Charities.

"It's great," Von Miller said. "It's a tradition that we've been doing here, and it's a wonderful event to be a part of. It feels like this is the start of the season for us. This is our sixth year now. We've been doing it for a long time. It feels great to come and meet some of our partners and spend a little bit of time with them."

Denver Broncos 2016 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Virgil Green was surprised with a special recognition from Ellis during the lunch portion.

"It definitely meant a lot. I definitely did not expect that," Green said. "But what I do in the community, I don't do it for recognition. I just do it because I enjoy it and because I love to see the smiles on kids' faces."

The event featured a robust silent auction, and Onus iV Hydration matched monies raised in the auction up to $10,000. In total, the event raised more than $150,000 for Broncos Charities to grant into the community for programming and initiatives.
