Broncos elevate Dora to active roster, move Kreiter to IR

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —The Broncos elevated linebacker Vontarrius Dora to the active roster Friday and placed long snapper Casey Kreiter on injured reserve in a corresponding move.

Dora, a 6-foot-4, 256-pound rookie, has spent the season on the Broncos practice squad. He joined Denver in May as a college free agent from Louisiana Tech. As a four-year starter in college he totaled 147 tackles, 13.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

He was named Honorable Mention All-Conference USA following his senior season.

Kreiter has not played since the Broncos' game against the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 13. The Broncos signed veteran Thomas Gafford as a replacement, and he has snapped in the three games since Kreiter's injury.
