ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —The Broncos on Sunday claimed rookie offensive tackle Austin Fleer off waivers from the Bengals.
In a corresponding roster move, they waived rookie tackle Leon Johnson.
Fleer signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent after playing his collegiate football at Colorado-Mesa.
The 6-foot-7, 306-pound rookie also attended Grandview High School in Aurora.
The Broncos have a number of backup tackles on their roster competing for spots, including Andreas Knappe, Elijah Wilkinson, Jeremiah Poutasi and Cyrus Kouandjio.
