Broncos, Briefly: Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019

As a part of the NFL's annual "My Cause, My Cleats," program, 54 Broncos who are on the roster, practice squad or injured reserve received the shoes they had a hand in designing and will wear for Sunday's game at the Houston Texans.

"Wolfe was a huge part of our D-line, but (defensive line coach) Bill Kollar said it last week: 'This game waits for no one,'" Shelby Harris said. "We know we have to come prepared. Everyone has to step up and pick up the extra slack."

This fall, her masterpiece has been a collection for Denver Broncos players, who will unveil her work Sunday in Houston as part of the NFL's annual My Cause My Cleats campaign. For one week out of the season — Week 14 this year — the league allows players to represent organizations or causes personal to them by customizing their shoes, which are later put up for auction to raise money for those causes.

The Texans' loss could be the Broncos' gain.

Safety Kareem Jackson will travel to Houston this weekend for his first game against his former team since he joined the Broncos in free agency before this season — and the former Texan could prove critical in Denver's efforts to slow down the league's 10th-ranked scoring offense.
