Broncos, Briefly: Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019

Forget the virtual reality reps, Broncos rookie quarterback Drew Lock is returning to practice this week. Coach Vic Fangio made the announcement Monday.

"We're trying to get him as many (reps) as we can, and some of that will be scout team, too," Fangio said. "You have to remember, this guy hasn't taken a snap or been in a huddle since the middle of August."

Allen's fate may depend on the next five games, a stretch that includes four road tests and three teams currently in the league's top 10 in scoring defense.

The Broncos began their bye week with a little more hope for the final stretch of their season, but also many roster decisions that could affect their finish. Roster decisions that may have been complicated further by their win against Cleveland a week ago.

Cornerback Bryce Callahan is expected to return to practice Tuesday for the first time since mid-September, Head Coach Vic Fangio said Monday.
