Broncos host third annual DEI Career Huddle, featuring keynote speaker Steve Atwater

On Wednesday, the Broncos hosted the third annual DEI Career Huddle, the largest it's been in history hosting over 100 people in person. This event is designed to educate college students and current working professionals about careers in sports. During the event, Manager of Fan Development and two-time Super Bowl champion Steve Atwater served as the keynote speaker.

Steve Atwater is an African American former professional football player who spent most of his career playing free safety for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He was an eight-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time Super Bowl champion. Atwater was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on February 1, 2020. 

In 2017, Atwater was brought back onto the Denver Broncos team as Manager of Fan Development where he interacts weekly with the fans, season ticket holders, and players. Playing an integral part of the overall organization development, Atwater works out of the UCHealth Training Center in Englewood, CO. 

A 1988 University of Arkansas graduate with a bachelor's degree in Finance and banking. Atwater went straight into the NFL, picked up by the Broncos as the 20th pick in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft, and the rest is history.

On Tuesday, the Broncos hosted the second annual DEI Career Huddle, which is designed to educate college students and young professionals about careers in sports. During the event, Executive Director of Football Operations/Special Advisor to the General Manager Kelly Kleine served as the keynote speaker.
