Broncos continue Fight Like A Bronco outreach program in virtual format
Though the COVID-19 pandemic has altered the ways the Broncos can conduct outreach for their Fight Like A Bronco program in 2020, it has not stopped them. In the month of October, they held several virtual and a few in-person events to show support to those fighting cancer or who are cancer survivors.
On October 8, the Denver Broncos hosted the second annual Fight Like a Bronco Remembrance Event that focuses on supporting those who have lost a loved one to cancer. Due to COVID-19, the event was virtual and streamed from the Coca-Cola Fan Cave at Empower Field at Mile High. Guests heard special video messages from Joe Jones and alumnus Tyler Polumbus, and were guided through an event to create a custom distressed wood art kit featuring the Fight Like a Bronco ribbon.
On October 19, McTelvin Agim, Austin Calitro, Bradley Chubb, Sam Martin, Tim Patrick, Malik Reed and Derrek Tuszka participated in a virtual Fight Like a Bronco visit with UCHealth oncology patients. The group played a virtual game with the patients and participated in a Q&A Session.
