ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – The Broncos signed rookie tight end Dan Light to the practice squad Wednesday following the release of tight end Arthur Lynch.

Light returns to the Broncos after a brief preseason stint. He signed with the team Aug. 28, but was waived Sept. 1 during the first round of moves to reduce the roster to the league-mandated 75 players.

Nicknamed "The Gronk of the Bronx," Light recorded nine touchdowns and 1,494 yards on 177 receptions during his four years at Fordham University. During his junior campaign, he led all FCS tight ends with 66 receptions.

Light's draft stock took a hit when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament late last year against Army, but he recovered in time to attend the Kansas City Chiefs' rookie minicamp on a tryout basis in May.
