Head Coach Vic Fangio at the NFL Scouting Combine
The Combine is important, but it's not a be-all, end-all for Fangio. "You can't tell what kind of football player a guy is in a 15-minute interview ... a 15-minute interview is just a little piece of the puzzle," Fangio told Tyler Polumbus and Julie Browman when he joined Orange and Blue 760 from the NFL Scouting Combine.
Ed Donatell: 'We always think of players, then play'
The Broncos' new defensive coordinator joined his former star pupil Steve Atwater -- and Andrew Mason and Ryan Edwards -- on Orange and Blue 760 to discuss his return to Denver and how he and Head Coach Vic Fangio will tailor their concepts to the talent on hand.
Vic Fangio explains how he wants the Broncos to be defined
New Broncos Head Coach Vic Fangio joined Voice of the Broncos Dave Logan after his press conference. He told Logan that one of the best compliments he's received is from some retired coaches. He said they told him they loved watching his defenses because, "They play hard, they play smart, they tough. I would love for that to be a moniker that's tagged to our team." Logan and Fangio also reflect on their memories of the late Sam Mills, a training-camp teammate of Logan's who played for Fangio in the USFL and with the Saints and Panthers.
Vance Joseph: Lindsay's injury 'serious,' requires surgery
"It requires surgery and a rehab time, but we'll get him back next year," Joseph told Steve Atwater, Andrew Mason and Ryan Edwards on Orange and Blue 760 on Wednesday. Joseph also discussed what went wrong on the 99-yard punt return allowed by the Broncos on Monday, as well as other issues that led to the defeat.

Vance Joseph: 'Our two-minute mechanics were flawless'

Vance Joseph updates team's status after bye

Vance Joseph: 'When you can't stop the run, you can't dictate the game'
"Defensively we were on our heels all day because of the run game," Joseph told Voice of the Broncos Dave Logan as he broke down the performance of the run defense in the Week 6 loss to the Rams. "We had no solutions to slowing the run game down, which made our defense really passive on first and second downs."
Vance Joseph breaks down the win over the Raiders
"We have to improve, improve, and improve, and the more we win, [the more] we have to do more -- on the practice field and off the field. That's what good teams do. Good teams continue to get better," Head Coach Vance Joseph explained to Voice of the Broncos Dave Logan on Monday.
Vance Joseph: 'Our team can play a lot cleaner'
"We made some nice plays in all three phases. But as I watch the tape and I look at what I want our standards to be, I was glad our team won, but our team can play a lot cleaner," Head Coach Vance Joseph told Voice of the Broncos Dave Logan the day after Denver's 27-24 win over Seattle. "We have some work to do."
