ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have begun to sign their 2024 draft picks to their rookie contracts.

Guard Nick Gargiulo became the first Broncos draft pick to sign as he inked his four-year rookie deal, the team announced on Friday.

The Broncos chose Gargiulo with the 256th-overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft out of South Carolina. He started seven games at center and five games at left guard in 2023 for the Gamecocks after he spent 2018-22 at Yale.

"I think that he is a guard who can swing inside," General Manager George Paton said after the draft. "He's played center. [He is a] Yale transfer — really smart, tough, physical. Kind of fits our mold. So we think it's a good get for where we got him."

Gargiulo is the first player in the Broncos' seven-player draft class to sign his rookie deal.
