City of Denver proclaims, celebrates 'Pat Bowlen Day'
Denver mayor Michael B. Hancock and the city honored the late Pat Bowlen on Wednesday at the City & County Building. Hanock read a proclamation declaring Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019 as "Pat Bowlen Day," presented a gold challenge coin, raised a Broncos flag over the building and unveiled a temporary street sign in Bowlen's honor. Members of the Bowlen family, as well as Broncos alumni, Miles the Mascot, Denver Broncos Cheerleaders and the Stampede Drum Line joined Hancock on Wednesday at the event.

Dozens of Broncos alumni were on hand Sunday for celebrations of the Broncos Top 100 Team, Champ Bailey's Ring of Fame induction and Bailey's and Pat Bowlen's inductions into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
