Hope your Wednesday is off to a good start, Broncos Country!
The offseason is in full swing at UCHealth Training Center, with more than a few projects already underway to get the facility ready for the return of the champs. There will be more on that in this space soon.
In the meantime, some all-things Broncos link for your midweek perusal.
1. The travel buddies, Demaryius and DeMarcus
On Monday, linebacker DeMarcus Ware tweeted out a photo of him and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas headed to some destination, although he was vague in the location:
Then, early Wednesday morning, came the reveal.
Seems like the D.T. and D-Ware headed to South Africa for some rest, relaxation ... and dessert.
2. Bruton's Books and 'Club Connect'
Safety David Bruton on Wednesday continued his childhood-literacy efforts, partnering with Mile High United Way in creating a "Reading Oasis" at Kenton Elementary School.
Through the United Way's Club Connect program, Bruton helped to provide Kenton an online reading platform for each child and an incentive program and tools to support parental engagement.
"It is so important to me personally to do my part in helping children have access to books and develop a love of reading, especially at the elementary-school level," Bruton said. "I hope this is just one of many Club Connect programs I can support through my partnership with Mile High United Way and our local schools."
3. Social Broncos
Kicker Brandon McManus returned this week to Temple University, his alma mater, and gave Owls head coach Matt Rhule a signed jersey.
Rhule never specifically coached McManus but was on the Temple coaching staff in various capacities when McManus was in Philadelphia (2009-12).
There's video of McManus' Super Bowl-championship return in the below tweet.
Safety Omar Bolden stopped for a photo with a fan ...
... so did linebacker Todd Davis ...
... and defensive end Kenny Anunike shared a photo from TAO in Las Vegas of him and defensive end Malik Jackson, linebacker Brandon Marshall, defensive end George Uko, defensive lineman Sylvester Williams, Ware (this guy!) and defensive end Derek Wolfe.
