1. Broncos-Chiefs makes Thursday Night Football history

Denver's 31-24 win over the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football included an epic comeback and wild finish – and a lot of people tuned in.

According to Nielsen, the Broncos game, "averaged a 14.3 household rating/25 share, up 4% from last year's opening "TNF" game between Baltimore and Pittsburgh (13.7/23), which had held the franchise's ratings record."

In final estimates from Nielsen, the combined audience from CBS and the NFL Network made for 21.117 million viewers, the highest audience for a Thursday Night Football game in NFL history.
