The Squeeze: The Weatherman and the top receiving duo

Good morning, #BroncosCountry –

Happy Game Day! We're just hours away from kickoff. While you're waiting and tailgating, here are three things to catch up on starting with the weather:

1. Gameday forecast brought to you by 'The Weatherman'

Tight end Owen Daniels earned a degree in meteorology from the University of Wisconsin and while he doesn't use that much in football, he got an opportunity Friday night to present the game day forecast. This season, Daniels will present the home gameday forecast every Friday night at 10 p.m. on CBS Denver.

Check out the first forecast below:

2. Thomas and Sanders top receiving duo

USA Today Sports ranked the top wider receiver duo in the NFL, and Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders topped the list at No. 1. Coming in at No. 2 were the Lions' Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.

Sure, it helps to play with Peyton Manning, but both Thomas and Sanders have shown they have the tools needed to be considered one of the elite groups in the NFL. Thomas is explosive and sure-handed. Sanders is a crisp route runner, crafty and speedy. The result was the only tandem in the NFL in 2014 with two players to each catch at least 100 passes. Their 3,023 combined passing yards led the NFL and was 217 yards more than the next closest pair.
