- Chef Curry cooks to Broncos' delight**
NBA MVP Stephen Curry returned to the court Monday night after missing two weeks from the Golden State Warriors' postseason run. With the Portland Trail Blazers threatening to even the series at two games apiece, Curry came off the bench in his first game back, but 5-for-13 shooting (including 0-for-5 on three-point attempts) in the first half cast doubt on his recovery.
That doubt evaporated when Curry scored 10 fourth-quarter points to help the Warriors come back to tie the game in regulation. In overtime, Curry went off for an NBA-record 17 points as the Warriors won and pushed their series record to 3-1.
Like anyone else watching the game, Broncos players were enthralled and awed by Curry's and the Warriors' performance.
2. Ward skeptical of NFL Network secondary rankings
NFL Network's Ike Taylor -- a former Steeler, I'll add -- ranked the NFL's hardest-hitting secondaries, and posted the Broncos' as the No. 2 unit, behind the Steelers. Safety T.J. Ward, for obvious reasons, thinks differently.
Of course, opinions are going to differ among analysts, and even though Ward has a bone to pick in this discussion, he'll embrace it as motivation for the group to return to 2015's high level.
3. Sanders' social lessons to the rookies
As the Broncos' rookie class continues to get acclimated to being NFL players on the field and off it, Emmanuel Sanders spoke to the group to give some of his thoughts on how to use social media in a professional manner with a positive outlook to show his personality and interact with fans.
