Good morning, #BroncosCountry –
We hope you're enjoying this splendid Thursday! The practice fields have been cleared of snow at the UCHealth Training Center and the team will put the pads on in preparation of Kansas City this weekend. To help you get caught up, here are a couple headlines you shouldn't miss, starting with healthy eating:
1. Sugar on his spaghetti?
Second-year outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett sat down with MMQB’s Robert Klemko on Wednesday to talk about how he was able to jump from the practice squad in 2014 to a pivotal role on the Denver defense this season.
Barrett has talked before about his diet change and how losing body fat helped him immensely in his transition. But this we didn't know: Barrett didn't like the taste of pasta, so before his diet change he would put seven packets of sugar on top, kind of like Buddy the Elf.
In college I put sugar on my spaghetti or lasagna. That's why I have to stay away from pasta, because the only way I can eat it is with sugar.
That, understandably, gave Barrett a little bit of a muffin top. But that's all in the past. Barrett's slimmed down and is prepping to get the nod against the Chiefs this weekend in the event that outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware can't suit up.

2. Miller's shout out to his mom
Outside linebacker Von Miller won Instagram yesterday with this thoughtful post for his parents, Gloria and Von Sr.
But actually – Von, what is a 'Lego regional builders of America annual build'?
