The Squeeze: Peyton Manning's legacy and chasing NFL records

Happy gameday! We're just a couple hours away from kickoff here in Lucas Oil Stadium, so here are a couple headlines to help you pass the time, starting with our signal caller:

1. It's not just about football
The Broncos are in Indianapolis on the quest for 8-0.

But for one player in particular, this trip is more meaningful than most others. During his decade as a Colt, quarterback Peyton Manning helped improve and inspire the Indianapolis community.

One way he did that was through the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent, a hospital that both Manning and his wife, Ashley, take much pride in even in Denver.

The Indianapolis Star’s Gregg Doyel spoke to Carson Collins, a patient at the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent where he is undergoing treatment for Burkitt lymphoma in a room decorated by Manning and Ashley in football décor.

Doyel's story reminds us all that there are bigger things than football and the Manning's legacy in Indianapolis extends outside of the Colts' record book.
