Good morning, #BroncosCountry –
Happy hump day! There are only four more days until the Broncos welcome the Ravens at Sports Authority Field at Mile High for the season opener. Will you be there? Here are three things to get caught up on, starting with some elementary school kids.
1. Manning visits young students
Quarterback Peyton Manning spent his off day on Tuesday surprising some kids at Cherry Hills Village Elementary School.
Parents of a child in the class he visited won the opportunity at a charity auction earlier this year won an opportunity. During his time with the classroom of kids (most of whom were wearing No. 18 jerseys) Manning spoke about the importance of school and education over any extracurricular activities.
2. Serena and Venus forever It took three sets for Serena Williams to oust her younger sister Venus in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Tuesday night. The sisters, who have been playing each other their entire lives, made for an incredible battle and great social media chatter.
CB Lorenzo Doss posted his support for both sisters, and reminded us that 'greatness has no peak'
Broncos alum Shannon Sharpe and his bull mastiff patiently waited for the match to begin
S Omar Bolden was very active on Twitter and mused about how proud the Williams family must be
And then WR Jordan Norwood made it known that unlike the Williams, #Sportsmanship doesn't run in the Norwood family
3. In case you missed it…
- Broncos believe sack attack will translate to regular season
- Sam Bradford among top-five long-shot MVP candidates (Anderson is No. 2)
- Chasing history: NFL records that could be broken in 2015
