President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway spent his Wednesday evening taking in the Nuggets' game against the Suns and spreading smiles to fans at the game.
On Wednesday, we recalled some of our favorite moments from the Broncos' 2017 community initiatives, and that helped provide an update on one of the subjects, a young girl Emmanuel Sanders met during a trip to Children's Hospital Colorado in June.
Meanwhile, Brandon Marshall kicked off the new year with his "Night of Love & Laughter" comedy event that benefited his Williams-Marshall Cares Leadership Program, which encourages responsible youth leadership.
3. Philly fanatic
Safety Will Parks was particularly thrilled about Brian Dawkins' step toward the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a finalist for the 2018 class. The Philadelphia native grew up watching Dawkins patrol the defensive backfield for the Eagles and then the Broncos, and he was one of Parks' favorite safeties to watch.
4. A familiar face
Former Broncos nose tackle Terrance Knighton has taken the first step in his new career as a football coach after announcing his retirement from the NFL in April.
