Good morning, #BroncosCountry –
We hope you're enjoying this splendid Wednesday! The Broncos are back it today after an off day on Tuesday of rest and film study. To start the day off right, here are three stories to get caught up on, starting with the defense:
1. Why is the Broncos defense so dominant?
Denver's defense ranks in the top five of every statistical ranking in the league and is pegged No. 1 in four of the ten categories.
Considering that most of the defense's starting lineup is made up of returners from 2014, what is the difference between this season and last?
ESPN’s Jeff Legwold broke down the top five reasons the Broncos defense is performing at its best, starting with playing faster.
Over the last handful of seasons the Broncos defenders have expressed their desire to play faster and that the team had the personnel to be its best "when we just go play fast," as [CB Chris] Harris has put it. [DC Wade] Phillips has turned the group loose with an attacking style because he has the cover corners in Harris, [CB Aqib] Talib and [CB] Bradley Roby to lock things down on the back end.
