The Squeeze: Chris Harris Jr., mentors and underdogs

Good morning, #BroncosCountry –

We hope you're gearing up for a fun weekend! Will you be at the Broncos' first home game of the preseason? As you prepare for the big game tomorrow against the 49ers, here are three things to get caught up on.

1. Harris continues to prove doubters wrong

Cornerback Chris Harris Jr. has repeatedly bested all odds against him since his days in high school. Harris was only offered one football scholarship out of high school to the University of Kansas. After a successful college career, Harris didn't receive an invite to the combine, the Senior Bowl or the East-West Shrine Game. Thirty-nine corners heard their names called on the day of the draft – and Harris wasn't one of them.

After not allowing a touchdown last season, Harris was still not included in the NFL's Top-100. "That's just the story of my life," he said to Joan Niesen of Sports Illustrated.

2. Top Instagram post

It's looking like a break out season for wide receiver Cody Latimer, and it looks like he's in good hands with his mentors, fellow receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas.
