We hope you're enjoying this lovely Tuesday. The team has the day off today before returning tomorrow for Packers prep. In the meantime, here are three headlines to get caught up on, starting with Halloween:
1. Broncos celebrate Halloween early
The Broncos celebrated Halloween with a team party the night before their off day on Monday night.
Safety Omar Bolden dressed up as Robin Hood, defensive end Kenny Annunike dressed up as a boxer, kicker Brandon McManus appears to be an ancient Egyptian pharaoh and long snapper Aaron Brewer -- we're not totally sure what he is, but it looks like he's wearing doctors' scrubs and has a crossbow?
Outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett and his wife Jordanna got in on the spirit with their doctor-inspired outfits:
Defensive end Malik Jackson sported a Street Fighter outfit last night — nunchucks and all:
2. The sky isn't falling
Grantland's Bill Barnwell is jealous that college football gets its own top 25, so he decided to make up his own top-25 ranking of NFL teams.
While he has the Broncos ranked No. 9, he makes a very valid point about the Broncos' record and their point differential: Denver has won its first six games by a combined 37 points, the lowest since the NFL-AFL merger.
But just because Denver hasn't blown out its opponents doesn't take a Super Bowl chance off the table.
"… the only other team since 1970 to start 6-0 that also failed to outscore the opposition by at least 50 points in those six games was a team Peyton Manning will look back upon very fondly," Barnwell writes. "That team was the 2006 Colts, who finished 12-4 and eventually gave Manning his only Super Bowl ring."
