The Squeeze: Brock Osweiler's Sports Illustrated cover and power rankings roundup

Happy Tuesday, #BroncosCountry –

The team has the day off today, but the buzz is still swirling around the UCHealth Training Center. Why? This should put a smile on the face of any Broncos' fan this morning:

1. Osweiler covers Sports Illustrated

Brock on, Brock Osweiler! Denver's backup signal caller is now two-for-two in his first starts, including upsetting the reigning Super Bowl Champions, the New England Patriots. That's good enough for his first Sports Illustrated regional cover!

NBA star LeBron James is on the national cover, but if you're a Sports Illustrated subscriber in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas or Louisiana, expect Osweiler on your doorstep this week!

2. Broncos surge in power rankings

The Broncos saw a surge in power rankings after toppling the undefeated New England Patriots. But the win also effected the Patriots, who across the board dropped below the Carolina Panthers.

As always, we rounded up some of the top rankings for you:

SB Nation placed the Broncos at No. 2 behind the undefeated Panthers and ahead of the Patriots.

After beating the Patriots in overtime, the Broncos move up, as well. They've overcome adversity in the past couple of weeks with the benching of Peyton Manning and the injury to Demarcus Ware, but won their second in a row over a quality opponent to move to 9-2 on the year.

ESPN was one of the few places that kept the Broncos in the same spot as last week at No. 3.

USA Today bumped the Broncos up from No. 5 to No. 3 after their win over the Patriots. No. 3 in the highest the Broncos have been ranked in USA Today's power rankings.

3. Nothing better than snow and a win

Safety David Bruton Jr.'s pup Ni'cko loves him some snow and a 'W'.
