ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Head Coach Vic Fangio said Monday he did not yet know if Ja'Wuan James would be healthy enough to play Thursday against the Chiefs.
James has not played since suffering a knee injury against the Raiders in Week 1.
While the Broncos did not practice Monday and are not expected to hold a full-speed practice ahead of the game, Fangio said the team can manage James' workload differently.
"We can take him to the side and work him a little bit harder than the rest of the guys," Fangio said.
James was listed as limited on the Broncos' estimated practice report for Monday. Cornerback Duke Dawson Jr. (foot), defensive end Shelby Harris (ribs), guard Ron Leary (shoulder), nose tackle Mike Purcell (knee), wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (knee) and defensive end Derek Wolfe (hip) were also listed as limited in the team's estimation of how the players would've practiced on Monday.
Fangio did not have an update on Sanders, who exited Sunday's game against the Titans.
"I've been in the game-plan meetings all morning and he got in later there, so I don't have an update yet," Fangio said.
Cornerback Bryce Callahan (foot) would not have participated, while safety Will Parks (wrist) was estimated to be a full participant.
