Broncos Injury Report: Brandon Marshall ruled out

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Brandon Marshall will miss a second consecutive game because of a hamstring injury, Head Coach Gary Kubiak announced after Friday's practice.

Marshall has yet to practice since suffering the injury during the Dec. 4 win at Jacksonville. He also missed one game earlier this season because of a hamstring issue, but this injury is more serious.

While Marshall was ruled out, inside linebacker Todd Davis returned to practice after being limited to walk-through and rehabilitation work the previous two days. Davis is questionable for Sunday's game.

"I was encouraged by what I saw," said Kubiak, who added that he wanted to see how Davis looked Saturday.

Center Matt Paradis also returned to practice after receiving two rest days because of a hip issue; he is expected to play Sunday. He has not missed a regular-season or postseason snap since making his starting debut in Week 1 of the 2015 season.

Long snapper Casey Kreiter was also placed on injured reserve just after the start of practice, ending his season because of the calf injury he suffered in the Nov. 23 practice. Thomas Gafford will handle long-snapping chores for the rest of the season.

"It [the calf] just hasn't responded," said Kubiak, who hoped Kreiter's injury would be just "a two-week deal," but it lingered.

Outside linebacker Vontarrius Dora was promoted from the practice squad to take Kreiter's place on the 53-man roster.
