ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --Center Matt Paradis and cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Kayvon Webster were not on the field as the Broncos commenced their week of practice in advance of a Sunday Night Football showdown at Oakland.

Paradis did not practice last week while he dealt with a hip injury, but he played last Sunday against San Diego and handled every snap, just as he has for every game since the start of the 2015 season. He stood off to the side watching the offensive linemen go through their drills during the opening period of practice.

Talib missed last Sunday's game with a lower-back issue. Webster injured his hamstring in the same game and was sidelined for most of it, leaving the work at No. 3 cornerback to Lorenzo Doss.

Safeties Darian Stewart and T.J. Ward and cornerback Chris Harris Jr. did not practice Wednesday, but all were on hand, watching drills. The Broncos listed none of the three with injuries coming out of the Chargers game.

Head Coach Gary Kubiak has noted in recent weeks that some players will receive rest days to ease the wear and tear on their bodies as the season progresses and the in-game workload accumulates.

Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips was also on hand at practice, three days after being taken to the hospital after Chargers running back Melvin Gordon ran over him on the sideline in the second quarter. Phillips returned to work Monday.
