Broncos bring back Kapri Bibbs to practice squad

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --After practicing with just two healthy running backs Tuesday, the Broncos came a step closer to having their full complement when they re-signed Kapri Bibbs to the practice squad.

The Broncos waived Bibbs on Monday to bring TE Richard Gordon back to their 53-man roster. Bibbs was promoted from the practice squad to the roster Saturday because of Juwan Thompson's hamstring injury.

Bibbs did not see any offensive snaps in the 26-23 win over the Browns, but did work on special teams and fielded a squib kickoff, returning it 15 yards to begin overtime.

The team had to wait for Bibbs to clear waivers before bringing him back to their practice squad. In the interim, the Broncos had to practice with just two running backs Tuesday because Thompson was working out off to the side in his recovery process.

"We were very short," Head Coach Gary Kubiak said. "We had some short lines going on, but they got some good work."
