In mid-March, three officials from the NFL traveled to Denver to scope out the city's potential to put on a big show — the league's biggest show of spring. They examined downtown to determine its viability to host and house throngs of NFL fans. And they checked out Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the famed concert venue about 15 miles west of Denver where The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, U2 and Bruce Springsteen have all made stops.

Because maybe, just maybe, the NFL draft would stop there too.
