[T]he only former Super Bowl MVP in the division, Von Miller, is poised for big things. The Broncos already have proved that a dominant Miller in a swirling, speed-first defense is a successful Super Bowl formula. ... Miller is still at the peak of his football powers and would be the centerpiece of one of the league's best defenses if the Broncos can give him just a little more room to work after a '17 season filled with double- and sometimes triple-teams.

The Broncos still have the guts of a championship defense with the likes of Von Miller and Chris Harris Jr. as well as newcomer Bradley Chubb. If quarterback Case Keenum -- along with a rookie infusion at wide receiver (Courtland Sutton and Daesean Hamilton) combined with former Pro Bowl selections Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders -- can get the Broncos offense back into the league's top 10 in scoring, Denver can be the second playoff team from the division.

Starting the following week, NFL Network will show 15 preseason games on TV, the league announced on Thursday.
