ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --After adding four reserve-future signees last week to begin filling out the 90-man offseason roster, the Broncos picked up three more on Tuesday, signing tight end Manasseh Garner, punter Will Johnson and offensive tackle Darrion Weems.

Garner (6-foot-2, 240 pounds) was one of the players the Broncos brought in for a December tryout, working out at the UCHealth Training center on Dec. 15. He also had a brief stint with the Bills on their practice squad in Week 17 and spent two weeks with the Browns in the preseason before being waived Aug. 25.

The 23-year-old also had an early-autumn stint in the three-team FXFL, playing running back for the Brooklyn Bolts. Garner played 23 games in two seasons at the University of Pittsburgh after transferring from Wisconsin, where he played 20 games in 2010 and 2011.

At Pitt, Garner caught 50 passes for 592 yards and five touchdown while starting 14 games while playing wide receiver, tight end and H-back.

Johnson (6-foot-3, 215 pounds) spent the 2015 regular season out of football after being waived by the Texans on Sept. 2 following a preseason in which he posted gross and net punting averages of 42.2 and 36.8 yards, respectively, while dropping three of his five preseason-game punts inside the opponent's 20-yard-line.

The 22-year-old had two tryouts during the regular season, with the Packers and Patriots. He handled placekicks, punts and kickoffs at Texas State, capping his career by averaging 43.8 yards a punt and drilling 46 of his 71 kickoffs for touchbacks during his senior season (2014). He also hit 73.3 percent of his 15 field-goal attempts as a senior.

Weems (6-foot-55, 310 pounds) returns to Denver after spending most of the last three-plus seasons with the Dallas Cowboys following a two-month stint on the Broncos' practice squad in 2012.. He spent 15 weeks on the Cowboys' practice squad this season after playing in Week 1.

The Oregon product's brief on-field work followed a 2014 campaign in which he spent most of the season on injured reserve because of a shoulder injury suffered during that year's training camp.

Weems was on the Cowboys' 53-man roster late in 2012 and throughout the 2013 season after being plucked from Denver's practice squad on Dec. 5, 2012. His Week 1 appearance this year is the only regular-season action of his career to date.
