Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver: The Denver Broncos Boys & Girls Club has been serving youth ages 5-18 in the Montbello community since 2003, supporting more than 14,500 youth since its inception. Funding to underwrite operational funding and provide unique opportunities in each of the Club's programming areas, additional skill development and training, volunteer projects, field trips, and incentives for meeting individual and Club goals.
Colorado Youth for A Change: Colorado Youth for a Change partners with school districts to identify and focus efforts on the most at-risk students and those who have left school, providing individualized support and case management with the ultimate goal of ensuring students earn a high school diploma or GED. Funding to increase support for the Denver Broncos Student Support Fund, and Corps for a Change and Reengagement programming to identify and mitigate barriers to attendance, student engagement, and educational advancement.
KABOOM!: KABOOM! is a national nonprofit dedicated to ending playspace inequity, defined as a lack of access to, and a sense of belonging in, quality playspaces due to the effects of systemic racism in communities across the country. Funding to underwrite a 2,500 square-foot playground for youth ages 5-11 at Park Lane Elementary School (Aurora Public Schools) that includes adaptive equipment for children of all abilities.
Out Teach: Out Teach is a nonprofit organization that equips teachers with the tools and training to transform outdoor spaces into engaging, hands-on learning environments for students, fostering academic achievement and a connection to nature. Funding to underwrite an Outdoor Learning Lab at Godsman Elementary School (Denver Public Schools) and enhance engagement through a hands-on, outdoor science education lab and program for elementary students.
Playworks Colorado: Playworks' mission is to improve the health and well-being of children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play. Funding to provide Playworks programming in Aurora Public Schools elementary schools to help build healthy and inclusive school communities.
Sims-Fayola Foundation: The Sims-Fayola Foundation works to improve the life outcomes and experiences of young men and boys of color. Funding to support and expand the Empowerment Zone diversion programming for justice-involved youth.
Sun Valley Youth Center: The Sun Valley Youth Center empowers youth ages 5-21 living in the Sun Valley neighborhood to reach their potential. Funding to support afterschool and summer programming while expanding access by underwriting additional neighborhood spaces.
Vera Institute of Justice: The Vera Institute of Justice is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the justice system by advancing equity, reducing incarceration, and improving access to justice for marginalized communities. Funding to support its Restoring Promise initiative, which seeks to transform prison cultures, climates, and spaces by partnering with correctional leaders to reimagine housing units for young adults ages 18-25 and realign corrections policies and practices with a commitment to human dignity.
