ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --After missing Friday's work so he could attend graduation ceremonies at the University of Utah, running back Devontae Booker made his Broncos practice debut Saturday at UCHealth Training Center.

Booker's work was limited as he continues recovery from a torn meniscus suffered last season. He said last week that he is "90 percent" recovered from the injury, and Broncos Executive Vice President/General Manager John Elway said last week that he expected Booker to be fully recovered by June.

But Booker had progressed enough to where he could take some handoffs in individual drills Saturday, working with fullbacks Andy Janovich and Manasseh Garner.

Booker has not yet progressed to where he can work on pass routes in individual drills; during that time in practice, he received one-on-one coaching from Running Backs Coach Eric Studesville.

The Broncos also practiced Saturday without quarterback Paxton Lynch, who is graduating from the University of Memphis.

"If my mom knew I made them stay here and not let them graduate, she would wear me out," Head Coach Gary Kubiak said Friday, smiling. "He needs to go graduate."
