The Squeeze: Vernon Davis' welcome and SNF ratings

Good morning, #BroncosCountry –

The Broncos have the day off, but the exciting news keeps trickling in. Don't miss these three headlines, starting with our newest Bronco:

1. Broncos welcome Vernon Davis

On Monday afternoon John Elway announced that the Broncos agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers to trade for two-time Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis.

Davis is set to arrive at UCHealth Training Center, and the Broncos are ready to welcome him with open arms.

OLB DeMarcus Ware is familiar with Davis after squaring off against him in Celebrity Family Feud this summer:

RB C.J. Anderson also welcomed his new partner on offense:

2. So ... a lot of people watched the Broncos jump to 7-0

The 'Battle of the Unbeaten' on Sunday Night Football did pretty well on Sunday night.

Combined with the Kansas City Royals' World Series Win, Sunday night's ratings were the best since the Oscars in February.

According to Nielsen and Variety, the Broncos-Packers game "averaged a 7.2 rating/19 share in adults 18-49 and about 20 million viewers overall." Despite the Royals being crowned world champions the Broncos game still achieved the best ratings of the night.
