Happy Thursday, #BroncosCountry –
The Broncos are continuing to prep for the big game this weekend (it's got some playoff implications) so we're bringing out some of the hottest takes around for you, starting with the defense:
1. Defense continues to shine
Pro Football Focus continues to recognize the ferociousness of the Broncos defense and it's awesome.
PFF just named Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe the No. 6 most improved player in the NFL so far this season. In 2014, Wolfe earned a grade of +10.0 in 780 snaps, and this season he's recorded a +20.3 grade in just 422 snaps.
*The arrival of Wade Philips has brought more predominantly odd fronts to the Broncos, and Wolfe looks a more natural fit at five-technique than he did on the end of a four-man line. Overall, he's our 10th-ranked 3-4 defensive end, despite taking only 422 snaps. He's No. 1 in run stop percentage at the position, with 26 tackles around the line of scrimmage from just 172 reps. Wolfe has done more as a pass rusher (+4.8) than he has in any previous season, too. *
Check out the rest of its list here.
PFF also ranked every single safety in the league, and two Broncos were included on that list. Darian Stewart checked in at No. 7 and T.J. Ward at No. 24. Two Broncos in the top 25 isn't too shabby.
2. Broncos families ready for the holidays
The Norwood clan shared their 2015 Christmas card on Instagram with baby Franni!
Corey Nelson debuted his new baby, Phoenix!
