Su'a Cravens, Shamarko Thomas return to practice Monday

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Safety Su'a Cravens returned to practice Monday after he missed most of training camp with knee soreness.

Cravens said he suffered a setback as he tried to rehab from his initial injury.

"I just came back a little early and went a little harder than I should have out of my own will," Cravens said. "I wanted to see if I could push it, and it set me back to not be able to come back probably last week to play against the [Redskins], which is something I really wanted to do. I'm good now though, I'm ready to go."

Head Coach Vance Joseph said he was uncertain whether Cravens would play Thursday against Arizona.

"Su'a has only practiced one day," Joseph said. "So we'll see how Su'a reacts to practicing today."

While Cravens has missed time on the practice field, Joseph said the third-year player did not fall behind in his playbook.

"His recall was fine," Joseph said. "He's been in meetings. He hasn't missed meetings. He's a smart player, his recall was fine and he looked fine physically."

Safety Shamarko Thomas was also back at practice Monday after he left Friday's game with an eye injury. Thomas was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation before returning to Denver on Saturday morning.

Ron Leary and Sam Jones also practiced Monday.

Safety Darian Stewart, though, received a rest day and was not in pads.
