ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --Tight end Virgil Green and offensive lineman Donald Stephenson were not in uniform, but were on the field working with a strength and conditioning coach as the Broncos began practice Thursday.

Neither has seen any practice time since suffering their calf injuries against the Colts on Sep. 18, but both are considered "day to day" as they try to work their way back.

In addition to Green and Stephenson, OLB DeMarcus Ware remained sidelined with a forearm injury; he is expected to miss the next three to four weeks.

Safety Shiloh Keo was on the field and in his uniform and helmet at the start of Thursday's practice; he sat out Wednesday's work because of knee swelling.
