Chase Vaughn is a first-year outside linebacker from Colorado State-Pueblo who joined the Broncos as a col- lege free agent on May 19, 2014... Spent the 2014 preseason with the Broncos before being waived/injured prior to the start of the season... Competed in four other professional football leagues, including the Arena Football League (Spokane Shock, 2013), the United Football League (Las Vegas Locomotives, 2010-12), the Canadian Football League (Calgary Stampeders, 2012) and the Indoor Football League (Colorado Ice, 2011)... Played two seasons (2007-09) at linebacker at CSU-Pueblo after transferring from Adams State College and finished as the school’s all-time leader in career sacks (15.5)... Played 11 games as a senior for the ThunderWolves and col- lected 70 tackles (37 solo), five sacks (39 yds.), 12 tackles for a loss (67 yds.), one interception (2 yds.), three passes defensed, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two blocked kicks to earn first-team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honors... Appeared in 10 games during his initial season in Pueblo and totaled 60 tackles (28 solo), 10.5 sacks (73 yds.), 18 tackles for a loss (95 yds.), five passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery... Named a first-team all-conference choice and the school’s Male Athlete of the Year for 2008-09 after becoming the first football All-American (third team) at CSU-Pueblo since 1982... Set a school single-game record with 4.5 sacks vs. Oklahoma Panhandle State (9/6)... Named an honorable mention All-RMAC selection as a defensive end with Adams State in 2007 after recording 47 tackles, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery...
