However, a contract cannot be executed with a new club until 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 9.

    During the above two-day negotiating period, no direct contact is permitted between a prospective unrestricted free agent and any employee or representative of a club, other than the player’s current club.

    The first day of the 2017 League Year will end at 11:59:59 p.m., New York time, on March 9. Clubs will receive a personnel notice that will include all transactions submitted to the League office during the period between 4:00 p.m., New York time, and 11:59:59 p.m., New York time, on March 9.

    Trading period for 2017 begins at 4:00 p.m., New York time, after expiration of all 2016 contracts.

• A defensive end who appeared in 48 games (37 starts) at Georgia Tech, totaling 110 tackles (69 solo), 12.5 sacks (75 yds.), two interceptions (2 yds.), two fumble recoveries and four blocked kicks.
• Started all 36 games played during his last three seasons with the Yellow Jackets, earning All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors following his junior and senior campaigns.
• Opened the first nine contests of his senior campaign, posting 31 tackles (20 solo), 3.0 sacks (13 yds.) and two fumble recoveries before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
• Registered 74 tackles (46 solo), 8.5 sacks (58 yds.), two interceptions and four passes defensed combined in his 27 starts as a sophomore and junior.

Named to the All-ACC Second Team by both the media and coaches... Matched his career-high with two sacks at Pittsburgh (10/25)... Tallied four tackles vs. Florida State in the ACC Championship Game (12/6)... Recorded four tackles in Georgia Tech’s 49-34 win over Mississippi State in the Orange Bowl (12/31).

2013: Gotsis opened all 13 games of his sophomore campaign at nose tackle, recording 38 tackles (23 solo), 5.5 sacks (35 yds.), one interception (2 yds.) and one pass defensed in addition to blocking two kicks... Ranked second on team in tackles for loss (14.5) and sacks (5.5)... Tallied five tackles and blocked two kicks vs. Ole Miss in the Music City Bowl (12/30).

2012: Gotsis appeared in 12 games (1 start) as a true freshman, totaling five tackles (3 solo), 1.5 sacks (4 yds.) and one pass defensed.

HIGH SCHOOL: Gotsis attended Kew High School in Abbotsford, Victoria, Australia... Competed in Australian Rules Football for eight years before playing American Rules Football in the Gridiron Victoria (club league with 13 teams across the state of Victoria) for the Monash Warriors in Melbourne... Recorded a team-high 12.5 sacks and earned league MVP honors in 2010.
