• A 10th-year player who in his first nine NFL seasons with Kansas City (2008-16) amassed the most rushing yards in Chiefs history (7,260).

2016: Charles saw action in three games for Kansas City, rushing 12 times for 40 yards (3.3 avg.) with one touchdown and catching two passes for 14 yards (7.0 avg.)... Was inactive for the first three games before making his season-debut at Pit. (10/2)... Played two more contests before being placed on injured reserve on Nov. 1.

2015: Charles started the first five games of the season before tearing his ACL and missing the rest of the season... Rushed 71 times for 364 yards (5.1 avg.) with four touchdowns in addition to catching 21 passes for 177 yards (8.4 avg.) with one score... 2014: Charles opened all 15 games played and recored his Chiefs’ franchise-record fifth 1,000-yard rushing season... Earned his fourth Pro Bowl invitation after scoring 14 total touchdowns... Finished the season with 206 carries for 1,033 yards (5.0 avg.) with nine touchdowns... Added 40 receptions for 291 yards (8.3 avg.) with five touchdowns... 2013: Charles amassed an AFC-high 1,980 yards from scrimmage (1,287 rushing, 693 receiving) while earning Associated Press First-Team All-Pro honors for the second time in his career and his second consecutive Pro Bowl nod... Scored 19 total touchdowns (12 rushing and seven receiving) to give him the most points (114) in the NFL among non-kickers... Led the NFL with 12 rushing touchdowns... Ranked first in the AFC and third in the NFL with 1,287 rushing yards on 259 carries (5.0 avg.)... Added a career-high 70 receptions for 693 yards (9.9 avg.) with seven touchdowns... 2012: Charles returned from a season-ending knee injury the second game of the 2011 season to rush 285 times for a career-high 1,509 yards (5.3 avg.) with five touchdowns, earning a trip to his second Pro Bowl... Named Second-Team All-Pro by the Associated Press after recording six 100-yard rushing games, including two 200-yard rushing outings... Topped the 200-yard rushing mark for the first time in his career at N.O. (9/23), finishing with a career-high 33 rushes for 233 yards (7.1 avg.) with one touchdown... Joined Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Brown as the only players in NFL history to record at least 225 rushing yards and 50 receiving yards in the same game against New Orleans... Ran for more than 100 yards in three consecutive games from Weeks 12-14... Registered his second 200-yard rushing game vs. Ind.
